Little Acorns Preschool
At Wookey Primary School, we are proud to have our own preschool called Little Acorns, providing places from 3 years old, with our settling-in period tailored to meet each child’s individual needs. Originally an independently-managed playgroup, we have been inspiring the youngest members of our community to learn and grow for over 30 years.
This year, our Little Acorns preschoolers are joining our reception children in our newly-created Early Years Class. They will benefit from a purpose-made classroom and fabulous outdoor space. Teaching will be by the class teachers, Mrs Salma and Mrs Fisher and assisted by a specialist Early Years Practitioner, Miss Pronenko. Our Early Years team has a wealth of experience and are excited to be able to use the Wookey curriculum, values and ethos with the children from the very start of their learning journeys.
The children at Little Acorns will share playtimes and spaces, join in with weekly celebration assemblies and enjoy wider curriculum learning experiences with children and staff from across the school.
