KS2 Visit to 'Farm to Food' Day
Our older children had a lovely day out at the Bath and West Showground on Wednesday 17th April.
We were delighted to take part in the annual 'Farm to Food Day', organised by the Royal Bath and West Society. The event is designed to develop children's understanding of where their food comes from, and involved displays and talks by people working in the farming industry, as well as the chance to see lots of farm animals up close!
Highlights of our morning included cheese tasting, butter making, and being part of an auction. After lunch was more of an exploratory time, which included lots of interactive technology and the chance to press our own apple juice.
All in all, it was an outstanding day, and we would like to thank the Royal Bath and West Society for funding it, including the cost of the coach. Some of us even got the chance to do a bit of 'royal spotting', which was the icing on the cake!
