This week I am going to start by sharing some news. Mrs Tanna and her family will be leaving Wookey at the end of the summer term to start a new adventure in South Korea! This is extremely exciting for the Tanna family, but we will be sad to see them go. Obviously, we will be recruiting for a new teacher after Easter, so I will keep you informed as that progresses.
Seesaw
I am sure, like me, you appreciate the benefits of our use of the Seesaw platform to facilitate communication between home and school. I don't use it as much as the class teachers do, but I did have an occasion this week when I needed to contact a group of parents with a message about after-school clubs. A message popped up that I had never noticed before, so I thought it would be a good idea to share it with you here, in case you hadn't spotted it.

As you know, we reinforce this message in school, so it was great to see that Seesaw has the same expectations of the users of their system. Many thanks on behalf of staff for ensuring that all messages to them are 'respectful and appropriate.'
STEM club
Parents in Years 1 - 3 received information on Seesaw regarding the planned STEM club starting after Easter. The provider has informed me that 15 children are needed to make the club viable - currently we have 10 confirmed. If you would like your child to take part, and they are in year 1 - 3, please check your Seesaw messages from this week and click here once you have enroled your child.
Trips and more trips!
Oak Class are really excited about their new class pets, which have come to us following a conversation at Millfield this week when they were on their science trip. I won't spoil the surprise by letting you know what kind of pets they are! We have another trip for KS1 next week (Cheddar) and then KS2 are off to the Bath and West Showground in the first week after Easter. If you haven't completed the necessary paperwork for your child (KS2) on Scopay please make sure you do so asap. Many thanks
