Welcome to Wookey Primary School

'Together we learn and grow'

Dear visitor,

Welcome to Wookey Primary School, where our motto really means something: we are committed to working together to learn and improve as a team of children, parents, staff, governors and the local village community of Wookey. We know that for children to achieve their best we all need to share successes, ideas and challenges. By supporting and listening to each other, we learn to raise standards and expectations, ensuring that children leave our school as ambitious, independent, resilient and kind young people. 

I have worked at this school since 2011 (as Headteacher since February 2025), watching it evolve and find its character over the years. Excitingly, it has developed rapidly in recent months. The improvements we have made with our curriculum provision, our playtimes and our relational policy have led to significant and meaningful changes. Our families and staff are fully and positively committed to the school and we are all very proud to share our values and vision with anyone coming to visit us.
